FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I’ve taken some of the questions I get asked most frequently and compiled them in one place. Should you have any other questions that I may have missed, contact me and I will do my best to help you.

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

Under California Law, a licensed physical therapist may provide you with physical therapy services directly without a need for a physician's referral for 45 days or 12 visits, whichever occurs first. Should you require further intervention beyond that limit, a prescription from your physician will allow us to see you for further PT services.

For medicare B beneficiaries, direct access applies but a plan of care has to be certified or signed by your physician. It will be submitted to your physician by your therapist after you are seen for evaluation.

WHAT IS YOUR NEW CLIENT PROCEDURE?

You may be asked to fill out questionnaires and forms regarding your condition or concerns . After we have determined that you will benefit from our services, we can arrange to schedule an appointment to see you for evaluation. This can be done in-person, in the comfort of your own home or via Telehealth visit, whichever is appropriate.  If you are uncertain if we are the right fit for your needs, you may contact us for a free 15 min discovery call and we can assist you with decision making.

WHAT TYPES OF HEALTH INSURANCE DO YOU ACCEPT?

We are both cash based and Medicare B provider. Medicare Part B helps pay for medically necessary outpatient physical therapy services which can be delivered in the comfort of your own home. We are considered out of network (OON) for all other insurance, we may provide you with a "Superbill" if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier, however reimbursement is not always guaranteed.

We come to you at your convenient time. There is no waiting time unlike in traditional PT clinics. Our primary focus is on you. We provide the highest quality one-on-one, individualized care in the comfort of your own home or via virtual session with the goal of achieving optimal results that you deserve without being limited by your insurance.
